Description

This AKTA UPC-900 Hg Lamp KDT-2840-4225-N is a replacement mercury vapor lamp for the UPC-900 detector in the Akta FPLC, UPC Purifier, the Prime and the Prime Plus systems. This lamp is pre-aligned. The user will need a Torx T-10 driver and a Phillips #1 head screwdriver to replace this part. It contains one Hg pen lamp.  Similar to the old OEM lamp part numbers 28-9354-93, and 18-1128-22. Our part number is KDT-2840-4225-N. This AKTA UPC-900 Hg Lamp KDT-2840-4225-N contains: (1) Mercury (Hg)Vapor Lamp. They are used in the detector of Fast Protein Liquid Chromatography systems manufactured by Amersham Pharmacia, GE, or Cytiva.

The lamp is replaced when the energy from the old lamp has become too noisy and unstable or when the lamp fails to light. The 280 nm and / or the 254 nm filters are usually replaced when the lamp is replaced. The 280 nm filter is KDT-280FS-10125-N, and the 254 nm filter is KDT-254FS-10125-N. The filter can cloud up from the lamp energy over time. These parts are typically replaced when the old lamp is bad.
